The Long-Range Acquisition Forecast (LRAF) acts as an aid for advanced acquisition planning for vendors to gain a better understanding of Office of Naval Research (ONR) requirements. In addition, it is ONR's policy that small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HubZone, veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses receive a fair and equitable share of the contracts awarded by this activity.
The forecast is a tool that helps the small business community market their technology and services to the cognizant components within ONR. ONR's LRAF include projects of all anticipated actions above $750,000. Download the current ONR LRAF which includes requirements for both ONR HQ and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL).
Please note that the ONR HQ and NRL requirements are in separate tabs. Contact the ONR Small Business representative @ ONR.SmallBiz@us.navy.mil for questions about ONR HQ requirements and the NRL small business representative @ firstname.lastname@example.org for questions about NRL requirements.
Additional ONR and NRL opportunities are found online at:
- ONR HQ contracts (ONR Research Funding Opportunities): Information is available on ONR funding opportunities and how to apply for funding.
- NRL Contracts (NRL Research Opportunities): Information is available on NRL research and development opportunities and how to apply.
- Contract Opportunities: Contract Opportunities or SAM.gov is the official U.S. government website for organizations with the federal government to publish proposed contract actions valued at more than $25,000. Anyone interested in doing business with the government can use this system to research active opportunities.
- SeaPort-NxG: SeaPort-NxG is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 23 functional areas including engineering, financial management and program management. ONR competes most of their service requirements using SeaPort-NxG.
Disclaimer: United States Code Title 15, Section 637(A)(12)(C), requires the Department of the Navy to prepare a forecast of expected contract opportunities for next and successive fiscal years and make the forecast available to the small business community. ONR will fulfill this requirement by publishing this forecast on an annual basis and more frequently as updates become available. The long-range acquisition forecast is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment nor an offer by ONR to fund, in whole or in part, the opportunities identified herein. This listing is not all inclusive and as additional information becomes available, it will be posted.
